WHO WE ARE
This policy (and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By submitting personal data to us, you agree to us using your data as follows.
We understand that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits this website, and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a way that is consistent with our obligations and your rights under the law.
The data controller for our website is Stephen Bell. You can contact him directly by emailing oc.ll1563656088ebs@o1563656088lleh1563656088.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
If you use one of our contact forms to send us a message we will use the information you send us to contact you about your query. This is solely for the ease of conducting business with you, and will not be used for any other purpose.
Messages sent by our contact form are emailed to us using Gmail. Gmail may store emails on servers that are outside of the EU/EEA. We will keep our account secure, and if we do not need to store your information to contact you again in the future, we will delete your emails in a timely manner.
In the future we may use Typekit by Adobe for the fonts on our website. Typekit do not collect or store any personal information, or track you in anyway.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
At this point in time, we do not use any analytics tracking. If we do so in the future we will use anonymised tracking so that we are not storing your personal information.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
We do not ‘share’ your data with anyone. Our website administrator and host technically has access to our website for the purposes of ensuring it stays up-to-date and secure. This protects you as a visitor and us as a business. This may include access to personal data in the form of an IP address, which are logged for security purposes for a short period of time.
We also use a website security plugin and Cloudflare to help prevent us from being attacked.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
WHERE WE SEND YOUR DATA
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
We may store or transfer some or all of your personal data in countries that are not part of the European Economic Area (the “EEA” consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). These are known as “third countries” and may not have data protection laws that are as strong as those in the UK and/or the EEA. This means that we will take additional steps in order to ensure that your personal data is treated just as safely and securely as it would be within the UK and under the GDPR. This will only be done if absolutely necessary.
OUR CONTACT INFORMATION
To contact us about the information on this page or any privacy-specific concern, you can do so via our contact form here.
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if we change our business in a way that affects personal data protection.
